Rooted Within is a beginner-friendly 4-week series designed to help women reconnect to self through mindfulness, meditation, and self-compassion. This course offers a supportive space to slow down, breathe, and nurture the steadiness within. All women are welcome, from complete beginners to seasoned meditators. Mindfulness is an ancient practice that was brought to us through Buddhism, though one doesn't need to be Buddhist to practice or benefit from both mindfulness and meditation, its sister practice. Anyone can incorporate these practices in their lives for a wide range of reasons: greater emotional regulation, stress reduction, self-awareness, personal insight, and more. Each week introduces simple, accessible practices that help participants drop into presence, reduce stress, and enhance self-awareness by guiding them back to their bodies, the breath, and their compassionate self. Each 90 minute class will include a teaching session, guided meditations, mindful movement, group discussion, and a suggested "homework" assignment. Together, we’ll explore the foundations of mindfulness, learn to listen to the body with curiosity, understand thoughts and emotions with greater clarity, and cultivate kindness toward ourselves—especially in moments of stress or self-doubt. You’ll discover how to weave mindfulness into your daily life in practical, meaningful ways so the tools you learn don’t just stay in the classroom but become a part of how you move through the world. By the end of the program, you’ll have a personal toolkit of grounding practices, emotional support skills, and compassionate habits that help you feel more present, centered, and connected to a loving self. Through this course, participants can expect to: + Feel held in a safe, welcoming community + Learn simple, practical tools to navigate anxiety, overthinking, and more + Gain insight into one’s emotions and thoughts and how to relate to them wisely + Develop practices to nurture self-compassion + Integrate mindfulness into everyday life in a meaningful way To get the most out of this series, plan to attend each session and set aside at least 10 minutes a day for meditation. You’ll be supported in bringing these practices into daily life with weekly resources and guidance to deepen your journey beyond class. All props, materials, and hot tea will be provided.
